Femme Power Picks - October 2nd
Scroll through our recommendations for October 2nd's New Comic Book Day, listed below!
We have some great new series coming out this week for the start of October! First up from Dark Horse Comics is a brand new series titled Ruby Falls! This story follows Lana as she works to crack the biggest cold-case murder the town has ever had, even if it means endangering everyone she loves and destroys the peaceful town of Ruby Falls.
Next up from Marvel Comics, we have the all new Spider-Verse series following Miles Morales as he finds himself in the middle of a massive multiversal adventure just as he's beginning to understand all of his spidey powers! Featuring a plethora of creators in each issue this series is a new take on the Multi-Verse that surrounds the Spider-Man stories.
For graphic novels, our big pick this week is White Bird. A story taking place in Nazi occupied France, this story follows Sara, a young Jewish girl, as she and her friends work together to hide from the Nazi's that have taken over her village. The harrowing experience that Sara endures also demonstrates the power of kindness to change hearts, build bridges and even save lives. We were able to get our hands on an advanced reader copy of this book, and it is probably one of the most moving stories that we have read this year. Writer and artist R.J. Palacio does an incredible job and we highly recommend you pick up this book from your local comic book shop!
We do have many returning favorites to look forward to this week, and we will see new issues of Black Cat, Die, Harley Quinn, Lois Lane, Star Wars: Doctor Aphra, and so many other Femme Power Comix favorites!
Each title, listed below in alphabetical order, includes cover art and a brief description. To learn more about each title, click on the cover art image and head over to Previews World!
